Most seafolk distrust those who originate from the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean. Liwei is one of those pointed to as to why. Born in the hadal zone, the deep trenches in which even most seafolk are reluctant to tread, he had never seen the sun for the longest time.
This child of the deep is known to be dangerous. As the leader of a group that has their hands in every part of the ocean, he commands a power that he needs no throne to hold. Beautiful and deadly, he has little to no morals and to anger him is to condemn yourself to fates worse than death. Especially now that the ocean has risen to cover most of the world, leaving even the humans under the sway of the seafolk...

Cold Tolerance
While he deeply prefers heat and is most often found around geothermally active areas, he can stand intense cold for considerably longer than most.
Pressure Resistance
Having been born in the most pressure intensive part of the ocean, he is heavily resistant to pressure and cannot easily be crushed or choked outside of with magic. Physical pressure barely affects him at all. If the scales were removed, his tail would be far squishier than normal due to a subdermal layer of special tissue designed to resist pressure.
Sensory Ability
Like a regular fish, he possesses the lateral line organ. This allows him to sense movement, vibration and pressure changes in surrounding water, allowing him to detect others nearby even when he cannot see them.
Sirensong
With the power of his voice, he can cause people to be enveloped in illusion. Most commonly, however, he uses the song to instill a desire to come to the source of it - at all costs. Another fairly common use is to convince people to agree to things, making them feel more at ease and agreeable, and like whatever is being proposed is wonderfully appealing.
